'˜That's down to Millwall and Portsmouth and the two managers to talk about.

'˜I'm just enjoying playing again and getting out on the pitch.

'˜I want to be playing football. I can't be sitting on the bench again.

'˜I'm 23 now and my career is just really starting. I can't be wasting valuable experience and time on the pitch to sit on the bench.

'˜So that's something that needs to be discussed and we'll see where it goes.'

Thompson has been in close contact with Millwall boss Neil Harris during his Pompey loan spell.

In the meantime, however, he's enjoying his time at the Blues.

Thompson added: '˜I've spoken to him (Neil Harris) a few times. He's given me a bit of advice and wished me luck before games.

'˜He even came to watch me at Wimbledon.

'˜It's nice to have the support of the manager '“ he's a top man and I have a lot of respect for him.

'˜I'm still contracted to Millwall, I'm a Millwall player and a big Millwall fan myself.

'˜My future is with Millwall at the moment but it's nice to be respected by the Pompey fans and Pompey as a club.

'˜I heard good things before I came here and it's proven what a great club it is.

'˜I've enjoyed every minute of it '“ I can't fault it one bit.'
