Lawrence fires big break but Craneswater still grab win
The Copnor C cueist rattled in a break of 91 against Craneswater’s Dave Carter.
However, the Southsea outfit still won 5-2.
Emma Bonney ran in a 53 break for her first win, adding to scores from Arthur Newland, Simon Petrie and Nigel Ward.
Newland hammered Tony Simmons.

Hide AdCraneswater A’s Andy Boulton continued his run with a visit of 69 against Ashley Bendall at Portchester X.
Jason Tame’s gang sneaked it 4-3 despite away wins by Mick Kirby and Rob Kirby.
Mark Kingswell, who ran in a 45 break, and Matt James were on song with huge wins while skipper Tame got the other.
Mark Tillison and Steve Toms were stars for Copnor A in their 5-2 triumph against the B team.
Both made a string of 30-plus breaks.

Hide AdScott Compton and Jon Sunderland also lent a hand to punish John Wyatt’s charges.
Wyatt did his best to rally the troops.
But only John Oldfield answered his call.
Copnor F and Leigh Park are riding high in division two with three wins each.
The latter are a point ahead after an emphatic 5-2 at Craneswater R.
Pete Ferguson fired a 47 to pip Chris Davies by two points.
Richard Burnett was also tested by Andy Carter who got within three.

Hide AdSteve Scott romped through to win the added bonus with valuable support from Richie Burnett.
Harry Yard and Chris Bishop were the best home men.
Copnor had to hold on for a 4-3 at Pompey Royals.
In-form pair Chad Wainwright and Jon Challacombe combined with Steve Orchard to give the high riders a tough time at Hilsea.
Dave Ellis, Gary Wilton and Gary Green just edged it by 20 points for the aggregate.
Xcels are still looking to break their duck.
Cowplain pinched a 4-3 at Copnor, thanks to good performances by Will Garrett, James Curtis and father Gary.
Garrett was the third player to beat Dave Gowing in a tight run in.
Tony Horten was the pick of the home side with decent backing from Kev Figgins and Graham Farr.
