The Brazilian-born striker put the visitors ahead against his old club after eight minutes.

He latched on to a great ball from Lloyd Rowlatt and slotted the ball past the home keeper.

'˜It was a good finish and what we have brought him to the club to do,' said Moneys manager Dave Carter.

'˜In the end I am pleased to come away with a point playing on a 3G pitch away from home.

'˜To be fair, it is one of the best 3G surfaces we have come across.

'˜It was soft underfoot rather than rock solid. We still had to adapt our game but rose to the challenge.

'˜Both teams tried to play football and it was an entertaining end-to-end affair.

'˜It was a game which could have gone either way because both teams had chances to win it.'

Barcelos gave Moneys a dream start with his first goal for the club.

Rowlatt was then denied by the home keeper who produced a fantastic save to keep his shot out of the top corner.

Midway through the half Cirencester levelled from a corner.

Moneys regained the lead on 61 minutes with a fine finish from Rowlatt '“ his fourth of the season '“ after a good move.

Joe Briggs missed a good chance to extend the advantage immediately afterwards as he shot wide from an excellent position.

And that proved costly when Cirencester forced an equaliser two minutes later.

Dan Wooden had a late chance but it slipped away with him having more time than he thought.

'˜Towards the end the heat and the pitch started to take its toll on the players,' added Carter.

'˜Brett Poate was superb for us on his return, helping steady the ship at the back.

'It was good to have him back after being unavailable for the last couple of games.

'˜We are still without striker Steve Hutchings who is halfway through his 10-match suspension.'
