Super Jets continue to soar... Angels too good for Rubies

Leaders Jets made sure the Christmas break didn't stop their flow of winning as they beat Clifford Brown Catering 83-12 in division one of the Gosport & Fareham League.

Browns started with five and could not get into the game as Chloe Spong positioned herself well and shot superbly.

Angels were strong in defence as they saw off Rubies 31-18.

Teresa Parker had a great game out of position for Rubies.

Youngstars Red worked hard all game against second-place Shooting Stars.

Kayleigh Bond covered all areas of the court, attacking and defending the ball for Stars, and Youngstars’ Andrea Davis shot well, with super feeding in from Hollie Fletcher but Stars won 54-37.

Youngstars White and Tigers battled out a hard-fought match as they drew 49-49.

Cara Dewis was fantastic in defence with Jenny Proudlock shooting well for Youngstars and Georgie Hollis displayed some tight defending for Tigers, with Victoria Madden putting away most shots.

In division two, Gators Gold had a close game against Fox & Sons seconds.

Liz Hendrick read the game beautifully for Gators, claiming several interceptions while her opponent Tracey Niessen scored some fantastic goals.

Gators eventually won 29-28 to jump off bottom spot.

GB Mavericks comfortably beat Jokers 55-22 and have promotion within reach.

Hannah Clist was pivotal for Mavericks.

Antonios had a close game with Foxes.

Ali Grace provided some scintillating shooting for Antonios and Julie Fehr was unstoppable for Foxes but the Antonios defence made a few turnovers to win it 40-38.

US Pinks just did enough to climb the table above their opponents GB Blades.

Kathy Regan played superbly for Blades but Pinks edged a close encounter 35-32.
