The Guide Awards: Best DJ winner, Pete Scathe

As the man behind several long-running indie, rock and alternative club nights around the city, Pete actually had to head off as soon as he received his trophy – he was late for his own regular Rock Lobster night at The Deco.

As well as The Deco, Pete also hosts The Wolf Cub Club, Transmission and Thunderdome, all at The Edge of The Wedge, and Connection at Zanzi.

‘Connection’s been running for zillions of years, first at Scandals and now at Zanzi, probably over 20 years. Even I'm not quite sure when that started.’

And his fans needn’t worry, he’s not thinking about quitting any time soon: 'Oh, good god, no, I've got a duty to carry on. People would cry if I stopped!’
