Victorious Festival 2021 tickets will go on sale on Friday with 'exciting' competitions planned

ORGANISERS behind Victorious Festival have confirmed tickets for the event’s 2021 return will go on sale on Friday.

It comes after this year’s event on Southsea Common, which was scheduled for this week, was cancelled because of coronavirus.

From Friday organisers will instead share footage from the festival’s previous outings, which have seen it grow from about 45,000 revellers in 2013 to more than 120,000 a year since 2017.

Competitions offering ‘prizes to be enjoyed next summer’ will also take place this weekend, Victorious has confirmed.

Hollywood-esque lettering famously used by organisers to tease upcoming headline acts was this week put up to spell out ‘we miss you’.

The installation atop Castle Field is a message from organisers to festival-goers who have been given the chance to carry over tickets to next year.

A Victorious Festival spokeswoman said in a statement: ‘The We Miss You is a reminder to us all that the Victorious team miss festival-goers and are busy working away behind the scenes to return next August.

‘Early bird tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, August 28 starting at just £30 a day via the website, victoriousfestival.co.uk.’
