Astra drivers '˜have most pulling power'

Men are most attractive when they're behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra, according to a study.

Brand new research asked women to vote for the car they found most attractive when they were looking for a partner.

The good-looking Astra won, followed by the BMW 1 Series and the Audi A3.

The two other cars on the podium are similar in size and format, but are both premium German brands. Around a quarter of women asked picked the Astra, with the much more expensive Land Rover Discovery 4 getting just 11% of the vote.

The women cited many reasons for using cars to establish attractiveness in a partner, including wealth/financial stability. A fifth of women said that they could discern a man’s personality type by the car he drives, while over a quarter said that men with nice cars respect themselves - and women - more.

The research, carried out by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, asked women how they used car choices to select partners
