Autism-friendly cinema screenings in Portsmouth

VUE Cinema is holding autism-friendly film showings to mark World Autism Day on Saturday.

The Gunwharf Quays cinema is screening Eddie the Eagle and Zootropolis tonight and Saturday, respectively. They have both been adapted for people with sensory sensitivities.

‘We dim the lights, lower the volume and provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy the big screen experience together.’

Dimensions, a national not-for-profit support network for people with autism and learning disabilities, has joined up with Vue to advise on the necessary adjustments.
