Get set for return of Southsea Palmerston Road Christmas lights switch on
FESTIVE family fun comes to Southsea shopping centre next week when the Christmas lights are switched on in style.
The Fireworks and Fairy Lights event takes place in Palmerston Road from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday, November 9.
The Heart FM radio team will be joined on-stage by Gosport-born Marcus Patrick, formerly of TV soap Hollyoaks, who will star as the King in this year’s Kings Theatre production of Jack and the Beanstalk. The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor David Fuller, and Father Christmas will help switch on the lights at 5pm and kick off the festive season.
A fireworks finale follows at 6pm. The Love Southsea market will be in the precinct throughout the day for early Christmas shopping.
