With Halloween in the rear-view mirror, the jingle of Christmas bells are just around the corner.
It wont be long until the streets are illuminated with festive cheer as light switch-on events take place across the region.
We’ve put together a list of Christmas light switch-ons in the Portsmouth area, including in Cosham, Gosport, Fareham, Waterlooville and Lee-on-the-Solent.
The events are a chance for families to welcome in the season and enjoy festive stores and food with each region celebrating in its ow unique way.

5. Portsmouth Christmas Lights
The Portsmouth city centre Christmas light switch-on will take place on Friday, November 20. Adverse weather has seen the event move inside to Cascades for the past two years, fingers crossed for clear skies this year. The stars of the Theatre Royal's Mother Goose, led by Britain's Got Talent's Cherry Liquor, will be on hand to entertain and get the festive season started. 6. Lee-on-the-Solent Christmas lights
