With Halloween in the rear-view mirror, the jingle of Christmas bells are just around the corner.
It wont be long until the streets are illuminated with festive cheer as light switch-on events take place across the region.
We’ve put together a list of Christmas light switch-ons in the Portsmouth area, including in Cosham, Gosport, Fareham, Waterlooville and Lee-on-the-Solent.
The events are a chance for families to welcome in the season and enjoy festive stores and food with each region celebrating in its ow unique way.

9. Waterlooville Christmas light switch on
Waterlooville will be illuminated on Saturday, November 28. A number of stalls and food options will be available ahead of Santa switching on the lights at 5.30pm. Photos by Alex Shute
