Denmead care home has fabulous husband and wife team making a positive impact

Denmead Grange has a fantastic Head Chef in Craig Burgess, he came with a wealth of senior living experience, huge skill and enthusiasm, he was ‘frankly a bit of a catch’! Then to ‘top it off’ he introduced his ‘partner in crime’, the lady with whom he has simply always worked – his wife Vicky soon applied to and was accepted by Denmead Grange as a Senior Carer but with the Activities Lead opportunity she now makes days even brighter and better for all.

Between them they bring energy, positivity, camaraderie, a huge sense of fun, great warmth and a passion for going the extra mile to ensure residents have a fantastic experience. Its very powerful to see a couple who ‘work as one’; they complement each other’s skill sets – Vicky as a ‘hostess’ and Craig creating delectable dishes and meals multiple times a day.

General Manager Abbie Johnston said ‘It really is just wonderful to have Craig and Vicky here at Denmead Grange, they are wonderful people who are tremendous team players. They bring so many good things for our residents and having a married couple is testament to just what a super place Denmead Grange is to work!’
