The Fernes Celebrate Barchester Care Awards

What an incredibly proud moment for everyone at The Fernes! 

Thursday was a very special day as the home celebrated the achievements of two wonderful ladies at The Fernes care home with Gemma, Regional Activities Lead of the Year, and amazing Eileen, Regional Resident Ambassador of the Year, representing the South West region in Barchester.

Gemma and General Manager Alina Danetiu, travelled to Leeds to attend the prestigious Barchester Care Awards, held at the beautiful Queens Hotel. What a fantastic day it was!

From the wonderful venue and celebrations to meeting so many inspiring colleagues and regional winners from across Barchester, it really was an occasion to remember. Meanwhile, back at The Fernes, the celebrations were in full swing! Residents, families and staff came together for a special party to celebrate our lovely Eileen, watching the awards ceremony live on TV and cheering on the two regional winners! Eileen was surrounded by her family and the home's chef prepared canapes paired with prosecco to celebrate the occasion.

Everyone at The Fernes in Fareham couldn’t be prouder of Gemma and Eileen.

Two very special ladies who bring so much to life to The Fernes. Their dedication, enthusiasm and the difference they make to the home and those around them are truly worth celebrating. To have TWO regional winners from one home is something incredibly special, and the home are bursting with pride! A huge congratulations to all the national winners and everyone recognised at this year’s awards. What a wonderful celebration of the amazing people who make Barchester so special!
