Cosham manager gets award recognition

A COSHAM service manager has been handed a prestigious award for his services to the community.

David Fawcett, customer services manager for Amey’s Hampshire Highways contract, picked up the award for outstanding individual corporate leadership at the National Corporate Responsibility (CSR) Awards last Thursday in London.

A total of 250 Amey employees have been playing their role across the county, supporting 26 charities and social enterprises through 400 volunteering days.
Amongst these activities were two bike rides to raise over £5,500 for children’s hospice Naomi House and for Fareham charity the Rainbow Centre.

After collecting the award, Mr Fawcett said: ‘I am delighted to have won this award which acknowledges the commitment, professionalism and support of the whole Amey team in Hampshire

‘I am very proud of what we have achieved over the past few years.’

Amey is Hampshire County Council’s highways maintenance partner.
