Festive markets are here

INDEPENDENT traders are gearing up for the return of the popular Love Southsea festive markets.

The markets will take place in Palmerston Road, Southsea, until Christmas.

The first takes place tomorrow from 9am until 7pm to coincide with the street’s Christmas light switch-on event. They will then be held every Saturday and Sunday until December 17.

An eclectic mix of independent traders will have stalls – from makers, artists, illustrators and vintage clothes traders to jewellery– makers, shabby chic sellers and giftware stalls.

Organiser Lulu Whitmore said: ‘As always, we’re excited to bring our buzz to Southsea’s centre. The markets always have an exciting community atmosphere.

‘We’ll have a broad range of amazing traders who’ll be offering a fantastic selection of goods, plus lots of yummy freshly-prepared street food.’
