Inclusive gym to open at John Pounds Centre in Portsmouth
Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond will officially open the fitness suite at the John Pounds Centre in Portsea at 11am.
The John Pounds Community Trust, which manages the centre, will run its Inclusive Fitness project from the gym.

Hide AdThis will see centre users, including disabled ones, using the equipment to train to keep fit and healthy.
The gym features a range of fitness equipment, including adaptive motion trainers, recumbent bikes, treadmills, resistance machines, and a functional glide system.
Jude Caunter, a qualified instructor and wheelchair user, will lead the Inclusive Fitness scheme.
The equipment cost £38,000 and funds came from a grant of £30,000 from The Veolia Environmental Trust.

Hide AdThe John Pounds Trust has made up the shortfall and will pay Jude using its own funds.
Project manager Paul Hutchings said: ‘Everyone will benefit from this new gym, especially those living with disabilities or who are rehabilitating after serious illness or injury. We would like to thank Mrs Drummond for taking the time to help us celebrate this great new facility for the city and the area.’
