Southsea Santa Fun Run returns to Portsmouth seafront - when is it and how can I sign up?

Hundreds of people are expected to be taking part again this year.

Businesses in Portsmouth are being invited to dress up as Father Christmas and support this year’s Southsea Santa Fun Run, which will bring hundreds of people to the seafront for a festive morning of fundraising and fun.

The event takes place on Sunday, December 13, with participants donning Santa suits for a run aimed at bringing the community together while raising awareness of the work of Pompey in the Community.

Slimming World is working in partnership with the charity to promote a healthier, happier Portsmouth and is calling on local businesses to get involved.

Companies can support the event by donating raffle prizes, offering vouchers or giveaways, promoting the run on social media or entering a team of staff. Other contributions are also welcome.

Businesses that donate prizes or provide support will be recognised as event supporters.

The run starts at 10am and finishes at the Glass House, BH Live, on Southsea Seafront, where participants and supporters can enjoy live music, DJs and a community celebration.

Pompey in the Community delivers programmes across Portsmouth covering health and wellbeing, education, employability, youth engagement and social inclusion.

Organisers say the Santa Fun Run offers businesses an opportunity to support the charity’s work while helping bring local residents and families together for a festive event.

Businesses interested in supporting the run are being encouraged to get involved in whatever way suits them, with contributions of all sizes welcomed.
