Fundraiser for Insulinoma Charity In memory of Callum Lynch

Stefan King is embarking on a fundraiser in memory of his brother-in-law who died of a rare neuroendocrine tumor of the pancreas.
He shares his story here:
Sunday 6th September 2026, I will be participating in an Ultra Running Event for the Insulinoma Cancer Charity, Insulinoma Support Network. I am hoping to raise funds and spread awareness of Insulinoma Cancer.
Why Insulinoma Support Network? On 23rd November 2023 my brother-in-law Callum passed away after being diagnosed with Insulinoma Cancer. Callum was the heart and soul of the family, genuine, kind and fun loving. The Insulinoma Support Network is a fantastic charity that does a lot of amazing work to support those affected by Insulinoma Cancer.
What is Insulinoma Cancer? An insulinoma is a rare tumour of the pancreas that originates in the "Beta cells" the specific cells responsible for making insulin. Because these tumours are "functional," they don't just sit there; they actively pump out extra insulin into your bloodstream. 90% of insulinomas are benign (non-cancerous). however, about 5% to 10% can be malignant, meaning they have the potential to spread to other organs like the liver or lymph nodes.
Please help us spread awareness and if you can donate. More information on Insulinoma can be found at www.insulinoma.co.uk.
