Five Gosport men fined for breaching Covid-19 regulations

FIVE men have been fined after breaching Covid-19 regulations together this weekend.

According to Gosport Police, the five men were found around Hardway, Gosport, socialising with one another.

Posting on social media about the incident, the police force tweeted: ‘Five Gosport males were reported for summons, in relation to fixed penalty notices after breaching Covid-19 regulations.

‘The males, aged 21, 20, 20, 19 and 19, were all found in breach of the restrictions by socialising together in the Hardway area of Gosport.

‘The group were also in drink and smoking cannabis. One of the 20-year-olds was also issued a cannabis warning.

‘The attending officers – PC Needham and SC Corney – thanked the group for being polite and respectful throughout the encounter, providing details when requested, and generally making the officers’ job as easy and straightforward as possible.’
