The pair previously admitted burglary during their sentencing last year but Ford was due to be before Portsmouth Crown Court today for handling stolen goods following the burglary.

Despite not appearing, the case still proceeded with Ford given no separate penalty.

Dad-of-one Ford, of Perseus Place, Crookhorn, was jailed for acting as lookout while Brimecome, 33, and another unknown man raided the home.

Brimecome, of Newcome Road, Fratton, was jailed for 45 months.
