Burglar who stole £44,000 worth of jewellery from Emsworth house appears at court

Raymond Ford, 37, was jailed for 54 months in December for the burglary in New Brighton Road, Emsworth, after he stole ‘irreplaceable’ family heirloom jewellery with Steven Brimecome.
The court heard 75 items were taken in total worth £44,000, with £430 worth of other items in July 2017.

Hide AdThe pair previously admitted burglary during their sentencing last year but Ford was due to be before Portsmouth Crown Court today for handling stolen goods following the burglary.
Despite not appearing, the case still proceeded with Ford given no separate penalty.
Dad-of-one Ford, of Perseus Place, Crookhorn, was jailed for acting as lookout while Brimecome, 33, and another unknown man raided the home.
Brimecome, of Newcome Road, Fratton, was jailed for 45 months.
