Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after £255 worth of goods were stolen from a shop in Hedge End.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 22, between 5.10pm and 5.15pm at Sainsbury’s on Tollbar Way, with champagne amongst the items stolen. Police are now appealing for help from the public in identifying a man they would like to speak to regarding the incident.

The man is described as:

• White

• Aged in his late 20s / early 30s

• Approximately 5ft 6ins tall

• Medium build

• Straight black hair

• Short stubble

• Wearing big black glasses, a black jumper, faded black jeans, white trainers and carrying a black holdall

A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said: “We believe the man in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any footage which could aid our investigation, including mobile phone or dash cam, please contact us.
