Gosport man, 52, accused of assaulting police as teenager, 16, is arrested

A TEENAGE boy has been charged with obstructing and assaulting police after officers went to arrest him for criminal damage.

Police were in Prince of Wales Road, Gosport, at 12.45pm on October 1 when they went to arrested the boy for damage done in August.

But he was ‘obstructive’ and two officers were assaulted.

A 52-year-old man then emerged from a p roperty and assaulted a police officer, a Hampshire police spokeswoman said.

She said: ‘(The boy) has been charged with criminal damage from August 6, and two counts of assaulting a police officer.’

She added: (The man) has been charged with assaulting an officer and obstructing police.’

No court has been allocated at this time.
