Man, 52, dies after 'industrial incident' near Wickham

A MAN has died following an industrial incident near Wickham.

Yesterday, three police vehicles were seen at a hay bale yard opposite a property at The Dell Cottage, off Winchester Road, in Shedfield.

Officers were on the scene and the area had been cordoned off.

This morning, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed a man died in an industrial incident.

A spokesman said: ‘We received a report of an industrial incident at an address in Winchester Road, Shedfield, at 1.12pm on Sunday, September 13.

‘A 52-year-old man sustained serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of this incident, and officers are liaising with the Health and Safety Executive.’
