Motorway drink-driver, 26, is handed 18-month ban

A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned for 18 months after being caught on the M27 at Portsmouth.

Mohamed Haniffa, 26, of Whitworth Road, Gosport, admitted drink-driving on April 30.

Portsmouth magistrates handed him a 12-month conditional discharge with a £20 victim surcharge to pay.

A test revealed he had 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the 35mcg legal limit.
