Portsmouth driver stopped behind the wheel of 'mobile jousting unit' by roads policing officers
POLICE have stopped the driver of what they have called a ‘mobile jousting unit’.
Hampshire roads policing officers were in Eastern Road, Portsmouth, on Saturday patrolling the stretch of road.
Taking to Twitter they said it was one of the top 10 worst spots for crashes with injuries in Hampshire.
It took them no time at all to stop the driver of a burgundy saloon car with material jutting from the boot.
The driver was dealt with for an ‘unsafe load offence,’ officers said.
On Twitter the team said: ‘Eastern Road, Portsmouth features in the top 10 for injury collisions in Hampshire. It will get an increase in roads policing activity.
‘First spot for one of our units this morning was this mobile jousting unit.
