Portsmouth man arrested after ambulance crew are assaulted

A MAN has been arrested after four ambulance workers were attacked in Portsmouth last night.

Police were called by the emergency service’s crew at 10pm on Tuesday after they reported being attacked by a man after parking in a lay-by near Anglesea Road.

One of the male ambulance crew members suffered a minor injury, and the other three, a man and two women, were unharmed.

A 55-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested on suspicion of four counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker. He is in custody.
