Two men jailed for three years following Gosport robbery
A man was attacked and had his watch stolen
Two men have been sentenced to three years in prison following a robbery in Gosport.
Officers were called at 2:44pm on Saturday 18 April 2026 to a report that around 20 minutes previously a 19-year-old man from Gosport had been verbally abused, kicked in the face, and had his watch taken by two men in the area of The Limes and Orange Grove, Gosport.

Officers attended and following searches in the area detained two men in relation to the incident. Leyland Larkins, 18, of Northway, Gosport, and 20-year-old Tyler Tanner, of Holly Close, Sarisbury Green, were charged with Robbery.
Tanner was further charged with Possession of a Knife/Sharp Pointed Article in a Public Place.
The pair appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court on Tuesday 19 May where they pled guilty to Robbery. Tanner additionally pled guilty to Possession of a Knife/Sharp Pointed Article in a Public Place.
Both appeared at the same court on Friday (30 October) where they were sentenced to three years in prison.
The Officer in the case, DC Luke Fairchild of Fareham and Gosport CID, said: “Larkins and Tanner have been sentenced to immediate custody for a violent robbery in which they subjected a defenceless victim to a brutal and unprovoked attack.
“The victim was simply walking home with his shopping when he was targeted by these offenders. One of them filmed the incident and kicked the victim to the ground, while the other stole his watch and threatened him with a knife.
“It is difficult to imagine the fear and distress the victim must have experienced at the hands of these two individuals. This was a cowardly attack on an innocent member of our community.
“The sentences handed to Larkins and Tanner send a clear and robust message that violent offending will not be tolerated. Those who believe they can commit such offences and escape justice are greatly mistaken.
“Our message is clear: we will relentlessly pursue those who prey on members of our community, and we will work tirelessly to bring them before the courts to be held accountable for their actions."
