Young girl is attacked by dog after stroking it outside Copnor One Stop store

POLICE are hunting for this man after a young girl was mauled by a dog.

The child was attacked outside the One Stop convenience store in Hayling Avenue, Copnor, on March 7, at 5pm.

A spokesman for Hampshire police said: ‘A young girl spotted the dog in the doorway of the shop and stroked it, but as she want to walk away, the dog grabbed hold of her wrist and bit her.

‘The young girl suffered minor injuries as a result.’

Officers have now released a CCTV image of dog’s suspected owner.

He was pictured wearing a black face mask, dark coat, jeans and white shoes.
