‘His eyes kept rolling to the back of his head and he stopped talking to me. I thought he had stopped breathing. I was saying “please talk to me, please stay with me”.

‘He then held my face and said “please don’t leave me, please don’t leave me”.

‘He shut his eyes and everyone started screaming. They were all saying “he’s dead, he’s dead”. But he hadn't, he was still talking to me.’

Paramedic arrived within minutes and cut off the boy’s clothes to treat his two stab wounds.

Ria added she had been left in a state of shock by the attack, which was exactly a week after her older brother, Lewis Green, was almost knifed to death.

Ria’s dad Rob told The News: ‘Her brother was stabbed in the heart last week and needed open-heart surgery. It was touch and go at first but he is pulling through now.

‘Now what’s happened to Ria is disgusting. It’s really bad. She was trying to help the boy who was stabbed by putting pressure on the wound.
