Here are 11 beautiful dogs that are currently up for adoption with a Hampshire rehoming charity.
Phoenix Rehoming, which is Hampshire based, is a charity that aims to find forever homes for precious pooches that have either been found without a home, or have had to be given up by their owner.
The charity has a team of volunteers who foster dogs that come into their care and since the pandemic, the numbers have increased significantly.
Stanley is a 4 year old Cockapoo currently being fostered in Fareham. Please read his advert carefully.
Stanley is very good with other dogs, crate trained, house trained, he has excellent recall, takes treats politely and he is good for the groomer
He resource guards food, toys, the sofa and his bed or crate but Stanley’s good points far outweigh the bad. His resource guarding means he requires careful management inside the home. He has bitten due to resource guarding the sofa. This means that his access within the home needs to be restricted. He needs to be fed and sleep in a separate space, such as a conservatory, dining room, spare room or utility room. Stanley cannot be given access to sofas or beds and therefore would not be a lap dog.
He has no issues at all outside. Stanley would prefer an active home where he gets long country walks.
Stanley may even be a candidate for scent work. He’s a very clever boy and an absolute pleasure outside.
The adoption fee is £225 and to find out what is included, go to the charity's website. Photo: Phoenix Rehoming
Cody is a 4-year-old Yorkshire Terrier boy who is currently being fostered in Southampton.
He is fantastic with other dogs and he walks really nicely on the lead and travels well in the car. Cody loves toys and his favourite thing is playing football.
Unfortunately, Cody finds being handled or picked up very stressful and he will snap if he feels uncomfortable. He needs to be muzzled for vet and grooming trips.
There is a training plan in place in relation to handling and seeking his consent to handing through positive reinforcement training.
Cody is looking for an adult only home. He is not good with cats and will chase them. He is polite in the home, house trained and can be left.

Ebony is a very loving, bouncy enthusiastic pup. The 7-month-old is being fostered in Southampton and she weighs just under 10kg. She loves exploring new places, she enjoys walks in the forest and loves to sniff around. She is very friendly with both people and dogs. Ebony travels well in the car and has been pub tested. After her walks she loves curling up in her bed and snoozing. Ebony is fantastic company and will easily bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Ebony knows some basic cues such as sit, down and bed. She pulls a little on the lead so we are working on this alongside her recall. She currently uses a long line when out in the forest and has been making fabulous progress. Ebony is crate trained and sleeps in the kitchen in a crate.
Ebony is looking for her forever home with a loving family who can give her the love and attention she deserves.
Not cat tested but loves other dogs and can be rehomed with children over ten years.

Meet Bella who is an 8-month-old American Bulldog cross girl. She is currently being fostered in Southampton and when she arrived into the charity's care they had to take her to the vet urgently as she could not see properly. It was confirmed that both eyes were entropion and she had an ulcer on one eye because of this. She was operated on the same day as she was seen and she has made a great recovery. She can now see and is loving life without pain.
Bella is a massive puppy. She loves to meet everyone and all dogs. She is over 30kg and does not realise her size so regularly bashes into you or others. She is working on walking calmly on lead, but has settle, sit, paw, wait and lie down in her trick book. Bella has fabulous recall to whistle and is very food motivated. She is keen to learn, even if she is a bit stupid at times and lacks common sense.
She loves her toys, chewing antlers and chasing a ball.
Bella is high energy and used to around two hours of exercise a day through walks, ball chasing, playing with resident dogs and scent work.
