Music legends like Elvis, Madonna and Freddie Mercury turned into scarecrows in Hampshire - where to find them
Which other music legends can you find in the village?
Madonna, Freddie Mercury and Elvis Presley have appeared in a Hampshire village - and people are, understandably, delighted to see them.
They, and other music legends, have been transformed into scarecrows and placed outside homes and businesses throughout Clanfield, competing for the title of best scarecrow and a trophy in the Clanfield Scarecrow Festival.

This year’s theme, “Singing Legends”, has challenged villagers to bring iconic music stars to life in scarecrow form.
Among the organisations taking part are VC Fitness, Clanfield Parish Council, Clanfield Pickleball Club, Pearsons Estate Agents and Clanfield Junior School.
Residents and visitors can follow the scarecrow trail by buying an activity pack from the Clanfield Centre for £1. The pack guides participants around the village, with entries scored on presentation, creativity and how well they capture the theme.
Eagle-eyed viewers might be able to catch a glimpse of other artists like David Bowie, or even Ozzy Osbourne.
Money raised from the packs helps fund the centre’s free community activities and events throughout the year, including its Summer and Christmas Festivals, Tea with Tony, The Craft Club and Chatty Thursdays.
Natasha Glover, centre manager, said: “Last year’s Scarecrow Festival was even more popular than we could have imagined, so we knew we had to bring it back. It was wonderful to see so many people getting involved, showing off their creativity and coming together.
“This year’s singing legends theme is sure to inspire some fantastic entries, and it’s great to see the village transformed once again.”
She thanked everyone taking part and supporting the event, adding that their contributions helped raise funds for activities benefiting local people throughout the year.
The winner will be announced on November 2 on the Clanfield Centre’s Facebook page.
