Three siblings spent hours working on a chalk creation on their driveway to show their appreciation for NHS staff who are working to keep people safe.

Frankee Hodson, 11, came up with the idea to draw a love heart with the letters NHS in the centre outside their house for all to see - and enlisted the help of siblings Imogen Cooper, six, and two-year-old Stanley Cooper.

The masterpiece has been getting lots of compliments from passers-by, with some people beeping their car horn in appreciation, and has had a really positive response on Facebook from NHS workers who have said it has made them smile.

Louise said: ‘They really enjoyed doing it. It took most of the morning, then they came in for lunch and wanted to go straight back out.

‘I’m really proud of them for how long they spent out there doing it, I’m just glad they know there are people out there who really care.’

Louise and her husband Michael have had to explain to the children why they are not allowed past the end of the driveway, and clear up confusion about why the pair are not at work.

Hearing others have been heading out to frontline jobs inspired Frankee and her siblings to want to spread some gratitude.

‘They love doing things to make other people smile,’ said Louise.

‘It’s just nice to know they’re taking it in and wanting to show their appreciation as well.

‘It makes me really proud they understand that people are working hard to keep us safe.’
