The vehicle set alight in Crookham Village on Friday evening.

Photos from Fleet Fire Station on Twitter show the scale of the blaze, with plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky.

Fleet Fire Station tweeted: ‘This evening (April 30) 04P4 was mobilised by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue to a car fire in Crookham Village.

‘Due to the cars location we were assisted by Rushmoor Fire Station’s wildfire vehicle 02M4.

‘1 BA and 1 HRJ used to extinguish the fire.’
