‘Doing Miss Magical Smile 2021 for The Teenage Cancer Trust was very important to me as there have been so many cancelled appointments and operations that it was important to raise money and awareness of the issues they all currently face.

‘Every day, seven young people are told they have cancer. The Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity that can provide specialist care and support and are in need of some funding to help continue the support they provide to the very brave young people powering on through these hard times.’

Lex, a member of the Armed Forces, has been spending this month raising funds for Samaritans, with an aim to complete 310,000 steps by the end of March.

The pageant queen is using her platform to raise money for charities, but also to encourage diversity and inclusion and prove anyone can be a pageant contestant.

Lex said: ‘It just proves that no matter your age or look anyone can take part in these amazing charity pageants and help raise awareness of very important causes.’

The UK’s National Miss Pageant finals will take place in Preston in July and the Miss Diamond Pageant finals are set to be in August in Southport.
