A27 Traffic: Long delays on the A27 eastbound toward Chichester as police assist with broken down vehicle

Drivers are facing long delays on the A27 this morning as police assist with a stranded vehicle.

Delays of up to 45 minutes are being reported on the A27 eastbound following a vehicle breakdown near Fishbourne. Sussex police are currently on the scene helping and have said they may need to hold traffic to enable the vehicle to be moved.

National Highways South-East posted on X: “There are now 45 minute delays on the A27 eastbound prior to the #A259 Fishbourne Roundabout in Chichester. Sussex Police have indicated they may have to hold traffic to facilitate recovery when it arrives.”

AA Traffic News have reported: “Lane closed and heavy traffic due to stalled vehicle on A27 Eastbound at A259 Cathedral Way (Fishbourne Roundabout).”
