It said in a tweet: ‘Southampton Rd jctn Sevenoaks Rd traffic signals are out, approach with caution.’

A spokeswoman for the authority said the signal failure comes after issues which arose at the junction on Monday.

‘Unfortunately on rare occasions some faults can take longer to rectify, as is the instance here.
