Police investigate rail bridge tragedy
Police are seeking to establish why a car plunged over a rail bridge in Hampshire.
The driver of the Skoda died when his vehicle smashed through the side of a brick bridge and down an embankment towards the Portsmouth-Southampton railway line.
The car overturned in the tragedy at Fair Oak yesterday lunchtime. Hampshire police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
Trains were severely disruptedyesterday afternoon with service diverted away from the line between Eastleigh and Fareham.
