Lucas Ballingall is determined to upstage two of his stablemates when he returns to action in Portsmouth on Saturday night.

The talented 21-year-old has yet to lose a round in professional boxing and has 10 wins to his name.

He is expecting to continue his winning record when he faces Lee Connelly at South Parade Pier.

It might not be a simple task, though, with his opponent having done some damage close to home previously.

Connelly beat Ross Jameson in 2016 and drew with Floyd Moore in 2017.

It means Ballingall has a score to settle on their behalf.

He added: '˜He's a tough opponent and will come to have a go.

'˜He's fought two of my stablemates before. He beat Ross Jameson, who is part of my team, and he drew with Floyd Moore.

'˜So it will be good to get a win over him when my team-mates couldn't do it.

'˜I haven't spoken to them about him. I know enough. I know what I need to do.

'˜I'm superior in every aspect. Stronger and more talented.

'˜It's about performing on the night.

'˜In boxing all it takes is one punch so you have to be focused all the time.

'˜I'm yet to lose a round in professional boxing.

'˜In my last fight I didn't get caught with a punch.

'˜This time I will be getting punched a lot more.

'˜My opponent is lively and it should be a good fight.'

Ballingall will have the backing of the Portsmouth boxing fans and knows this is a great addition to his armoury.

With Garry Neale, David Birmingham and the talented Southampton boxer Harry Limburn in action as well it promises to be a great night.

They will all be looking to impress and it will be a big occasion.

Ballingall added: '˜I am buzzing to box in Pompey again.

'˜It is the first show at South Parade Pier for a while.

'˜There will be a great atmosphere and it should be a good night.

'˜Training has been spot on.

'˜I'm feeling good and can't wait to get in there.

'˜I always perform well when I'm fighting in Portsmouth.

'˜It's good with the crowd cheering you on in the background.

'˜Garry Neale is having his second fight back after three and a half years out. He will be in a good fight.

'˜Harry Limburn is fighting a lad I boxed in my last fight. He's a tough lad.

'˜The matches have been well made for this show.

'˜Every fight looks like it will be entertaining for the fans.'

Ballingall has been sparring in Wales with former world champion Lee Selby ahead of the fight.

This has ensured he's well prepared and feeling good.

He added: '˜I've had good sparring in Wales.

'˜I've been sparring with former IBF world champion Lee Selby and Welsh champion Gavin Gwynne.

'˜That's been really good and I'm in good shape.'
