'Portsmouth worst team I've seen in years... but we're not near to Burnley's terrible record': Faithfuls have say

Pompey and Burnley fans have been having their say on yesterday’s Championship events at Turf Moor.

John Mousinho’s men made it one loss in nine and five games unbeaten against the relegated Premier League side.

Burnley asked the questions for long periods, with the Blues resolute - with events generating some interesting assessments from both camps. Here’s a selection of those views from X (formerly Twitter).

One of the worst games of football I’ve watched…fair play to everyone involved. @DanLewis1999

Honestly reckon Portsmouth was the worst team I've seen at Burnley in years and years. And the sad thing is we couldn't break them down. Can't believe next home game is Blackburn which is the most must win game I've actually seen in years and years. @chrisburnley35

The audacity to tweet this stuff when Burnley are a club who are currently in the midst of the longest winless league run at home in the entire recorded history of English football. The worst team you’ve seen at Burnley in “years and years” is Burnley mate. @PompeyPedro

Love it! Apparently we’re one of the worst sides they’ve ever seen… but strange how we aren’t anywhere close to their catastrophically terrible record! #Pompey @PompeyKirbs

Speak for yourself, you had parachute money and you’re still terrible, we have bottom 5 lowest wage and transfer budgets in the league and we’re punching well above our weight. It’s funny every team who can’t beat us try say all this rubbish #pompey #burnley @PompeyTdog

Worst set of officials we’ve had this season. Game very forgettable. Would have taken a point away to Burnley at the start of the season, but feel with a bit more composure and quality they were there for the taking. @IndianaDerman

Honestly as a Pompey fan that was hard to watch. We looked tired after a gruelling couple of weeks. We know we can play better so us fans are not worried. We struggled to play a proper game of football against you. We had to bring ourselves down to you’re level and it was showed @GaryJoseph79

Pleased with a point away at Burnley as we never managed a shot on target! Defending as a unit must be praised where it’s due although Burnley missed a couple of good chances looking at the highlights. Move on to Swansea at home, Play up #Pompey @knight37
