Wolves boss Cesar Peixoto drops intriguing Portsmouth selection hint ahead of Championship encounter
Pompey travel to Wolves this evening in their rearranged Championship game.
Cesar Peixoto has hinted he will be forced to ‘rotate’ his Wolves side against Pompey this evening.
But the Portuguese boss is confident the Old Gold have the strength in depth to remain competitive should he make changes to his side.

John Mousinho’s men make the midweek visit to the West Midlands in a good run of form, which has seen them lose just one of their previous six, which includes wins in their last two.
Wolves, meanwhile, have had slightly longer to prepare after securing a 2-1 win against early-season strugglers Burnley on Froday evening.
Wolves to rotate against Pompey
With the Old Gold also in action for the fourth time in 11 days, Peixoto has conceded he will have to rotate against Pompey as he manages his players’ minutes.
Speaking to the Express and Star, he said: ‘We have to manage the players.
‘All of the teams had three games in a row last week, but not all of the teams have three games in a row the next week.
‘Because of that we have to manage the minutes of the players to not take risks. We have a lot of injuries, and we do not want any more.
‘I have to analyse the Bolton game, the way they recovered and try to build a strong team to try and win. At home it is important.
‘All of the games in the Championship are very difficult. We have to put the players out who recover best and can fight for the three points.
‘We are going to change, I think. But we have to manage the situation and see what feeling the players have fitness wise. We are going to rotate.’
Big Wolves strength ahead of Pompey encounter

Wolves will be without one-time Pompey linked midfielder Boubacar Traore due to a calf problem as well as Raul Jimenez (knee), Bertrand Traore (hamstring) and Rodrigo Gomez (ankle).
Nonetheless, Peixoto is confident his squad has enough depth and quality to be able to rotate and still remain competitive against Mousinho’s troops this evening.
‘We have a big squad with a lot of talented players. Compared with other teams in the Championship, I don’t think many have the same depth that we have. That’s our biggest strength.
‘We can lose four or five players to injury and still come to Burnley away from home, get a result and win without feeling disappointed about the players who are missing, because everyone is ready to go out and perform.
‘Everyone knows it’s a good result on Friday, and we can be happy about it. But we’re back in training and preparing for Tuesday.
‘Portsmouth at home is a big game. If we win that, it’s two in a row, then we can try to make it three in a row and start building momentum again.’
