'Massive blow': Portsmouth boss provides devastating injury update on former Birmingham City man
A fresh injury update from Pompey boss John Mousinho on winger Keshi Anderson.
Keshi Anderson is expected to be sidelined for up to two months of action, according to John Mousinho.
The winger suffered a devastating injury blow during Pompey’s 3-2 triumph against Sheffield United in just his second appearance of the campaign.
The 31-year-old featured for 19 minutes against the Blades before being withdrawn in the 87th minute, which subsequently saw him walk straight down the tunnel at Fratton Park.

Extent of winger’s injury revealed
Mousinho revealed on Thursday that Anderson had suffered a fresh hamstring problem, the third since his January arrival, but was still awaiting to discover the severity.
But the head coach has confirmed the former Birmingham City and Blackpool man will miss 6-8 weeks of action in a fresh blow to his south-coast.
When asked about the severity of Anderson’s injury, the Blues boss told BBC Radio Solent: ‘Hamstring tear. Looking like 6-8 weeks’
It was a bitter blow for the attacker, who had only returned to action against Southampton, having missed the three months due to injury.
A quad tear during the Blues’ pre-season tour in July subsequently forced the January signing to sit out the opening eight matches of the season in all competitions.
That was after Anderson had a frustrating start to his Fratton, suffering two separate hamstring problems following his free transfer.

And the head coach has explained the challenges he’s now facing, with injuries severely hampering his attacking options.
‘It’s a massive blow, huge blow (for Keshi Anderson). If you look at where we were today (against Norwich City), to be fair to Abs (Abu Kamara), to just get him through was brilliant, his work rate was awesome. The decisive moment there (with the penalty).
‘Segs (Adrian Segecic) came out to the left and did a brilliant job. Ryan (Kavuma-McQueen) worked his socks off tracking Jack Stacey, who is an excellent player particularly on the break.
‘What we would’ve liked to have done in an ideal circumstance is if we had Murph (Josh Murphy), Keshi, Franco (Umeh) all available and even if you had Colby (Bishop) available, Tyrese (Shade) can play out wide.
‘To have those options would be something we need to try and get to and hopefully get to slowly. Considering all of that, I thought the lads did brilliantly.’
