‘We’re ruining Colby Bishop’s legacy…Portsmouth pretty woeful…Bristol City worst atmosphere in Championship: Faithfuls react
Pompey and Bristol City fans have been having their say about yesterday’s events at Ashton Gate on X (formerly Twitter). Here’s what they had to say.
So sad the way we’re allowing Colby Bishop’s legacy at Pompey to be ruined. Bloke’s done so much for us, and it’s just gonna end with people turning on him and not being appreciated for what he’s done because we keep persisting with someone not at the level. Phase him out. Please. @HarvMarksy

That's on Mous. I'm a big fan of his but he got the line up and tactics so wrong. We were lucky #Bristol didn't get out of 2nd gear. Schmid makes me nervous, Bishop has to start on the bench and Blair should be nowhere near that squad. #Pompey @DannyCrownXI
Miles off them again, but Bristol City aren’t our fight. (Depressing statement given they’re a mid table club). Scoreline less embarrassing at least. Bishop needs a rest, a reset, something. It’s not working and hasn’t been for a long time. @PompeyPedro
#Pompey I’m beginning to think Mousinho has run out of ideas. He plays Schmid, whose distribution is awful and Bishop who can't score goals at all. Did you see how the Bristol City forward took their first goal? That was Championship standard. Sadly Bishop belongs in League One. @TonyCoxTC

City were ok against a pretty woeful Portsmouth. Knight outstanding with a captain's performance. Referee in fairness was dire and choosing which of the new rules he was implementing today. Pompey were allowed unlimited time and possession gains at throw ins @BristolOli
One song whole game from a few of your fans. Pathetic fan base. Bristol Rovers are the real supporters in Bristol. @AW0005378812646
Second year being a Pompey fan sat in the Bristol end. What rubbish fans Bristol have, by far the worst atmosphere in the championship. Multiple fans even sat down when they scored. We might be cursed there and play rubbish football but I’d take that any day over that utter rubbish #pompey @jakloasbyy
Perhaps not that convincing but needed a win to get the ball rolling. Williams and Cardine outstanding, and great goal from Tolaj. @mikeygwood
#Pompey Bristol C thoughts. I know it’s a rugby ground, but the number of balls into touch was unacceptable. Schmid needs to be taken out of the firing line. His confidence has gone. In general, the ball needs to be moved quicker. Marezi needs to start. Tues already feels big. @RobStatto

We’re not quick enough on the ball and can’t make the most of any pressure. Ten corners and none of them were threatening compared to Bristol who scored from just three. The gulf between the two sides is huge. Also, Nico Schmid does my head in he can’t kick a football. @ShaunCHill
Mostly punchless and occasionally careless from Pompey at Bristol City bogey ground. Caught on counter for first and concede from a corner that farcically took 2 mins to take. After that City happy to sit on lead and Pompey goal too late to matter. @IanDarke
