Do you agree with how Blues writer Jordan Cross sees the performances from John Mousinho’s squad to date?

Failed to meet the high expectations Pompey had for the Aussie defender going into the season, after £1.25m arrival from Sydney FC in January of 2025. Lack of minutes early on in the season spoke of Mousinho not being convinced in the 21-year-old, but season found impetus in defender before campaign stalled amid New Year’s Day thrashing at Bristol City. Have to feel for the young winger whose season amounted to two sub appearances. The £500,000 signing from Crystal Palace looks like the consequence of having to take punts on players with question marks over their fitness, as Pompey work with a low Championship budget. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
15. Luke Le Roux 3
One of Pompey’s biggest summer signings in terms of fees, the £1m signing from IFK Varnamo has clearly not been up to Championship level. Nothing wrong with Le Roux’s honesty and is an upbeat presence around the club, just doesn’t look like he can he relied upon unfortunately. Photo: Graham Hunt

Deserves huge credit to fight back from serious knee injury to make 13 appearances this term. Massively struggled on first league start at left-back in Birmingham thrashing, but definitely more competent in the middle as a back-up option. December winner over Blackburn the clear highlight. | Dennis Goodwin/ProSportsImages
