'Was a good old school ground, pretty dire, lucky': Portsmouth and Millwall faithfuls have say on Championship clash
Pompey and Millwall fans have been reacting to their rain-drenched Championship clash amid Storm Boelo. Here’s a selection of views from X (formerly Twitter).
What’s the excuse today because Portsmouth had far more injuries than we did. Something needs to click and soon #Millwall @Venom_MFC
Always enjoy a visit to Pompey but obviously a disappointing result. Not a terrible performance in what were tricky conditions....Metcalfe, Dykes & Cooper all did well...but we lacked a goal threat....lots of huff and puff but ultimately futile ...the latest depressing awayday @millwalljdb
How can you not love Dia? The latest depressing away day
Did enjoy the sight of the big scary Millwall fans avoiding the first 5 rows of the away end to avoid getting a bit wet @PompeyPedro
You not wrong lad...good to see you sitting down well behaved @Monsi2011
Shame you’ve succumbed to having a drum now at Fratton Park. Was always a good old school ground and atmosphere. I still quite like Pompey but a drummer would get nowhere near The Den old chum #Millwall @NibWade
Jojo Dia, how can you not love this guy!? Takes two hits and is still willing to put his body on the line for the badge @Pompey. Absolute legend! @Helvetin_
So let's give John his credit. Back the manager, back the boys, and keep believing in what we're building at Portsmouth. Play Up Pompey! @StronnerJack
I’m sick of losing games and people calling the oppo rubbish. Portsmouth were better than us. Swansea were much much better than us. We are rubbish this season. Bods need to accept it @Con2094
Pompey fan here - I thought we were lucky today - a draw would have been a fair result. We’re getting the breaks at the moment. @doctorcol
Didn’t think I’d say this… (especially after QPR last season) but Adam’s in 10 actually changed the game massively today #pompey @pfclowey
FT #Pompey 2 - Millwall 1 Pretty dire spectacle not helped by the conditions but it's the result that matters. Adams and Shade made the difference when they came on and delighted for Waddingham, they all count. Dia my MOTM (there, I said it!) and look at that league table. @PropPersonnel
A frustrating game in so many ways. I don't think either side deserved to win, #Millwall did not do enough but, neither did Pompey, Lions guilty of conceding really soft goals at the moment. The two today are poor. @AlexGrace12
An absolute masterclass on how to give away a match and without a shadow of doubt the worst Millwall defence I've seen, utterly clueless. @mervpayne
