Pompey were humbled by non-league Aldershot, not for the first time, as they slumped to a poor defeat.
John Mousinho’s side were undone by two goals inside two minutes from Hakeem Sandah and Marcus Dinanga midway through the first half as their National League hosts ran out 2-0 winners.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...
21. Michael Ani - 6
(Replaced Eoin Kenny on 46 mins) Once again the defender was asked to play out of position as a right winger. Put everything into it but, inevitably, lacked the attacking know-how to make a difference. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
22. John Swift - 6
(Replaced Adrian Segecic on 46 mins) John Swift - Kept dropping deep to try to inspire Pompey, taking responsibility on the ball, but couldn’t work wonders. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
23. Billy Gillooly - 6
(Replaced Brandon Downey on 46 mins) Second-year scholar featured on the left wing and showed a couple of bright touches, but it was a tough game to come into. | Jason Brown
24. Colby Bishop - 6
(Replaced Dane Bailey on 46 mins) Gave much-needed guile to Pompey, holding the ball up and intelligently using possession. Had a sniff of a chance on 70 minutes when he diverted Williams’ right-wing cross over the bar. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
