John Mousinho is expecting up to six new signings to arrive at Pompey before the January window closes at 7pm on February 2.
With the transfer window now open for a couple of weeks a number of names have surfaced, in terms of being of interest to the Blues on that front.
Some of the players mentioned have credibility with others, well, less so...
So we’ve assembled a list of all those mentioned so far, and given you the inside track on how things really stand when it comes to Pompey’s reported interest.

2. Paddy McNair
The former Middlesbrough defender has the kind of Championship nous Pompey require - and added to the back line last January in Rob Atkinson. Currently with San Diego in the MLS, with their season starting in five weeks’ time. 3. Ousmane Sow
A player identified by Pompey’s recruitment team as the Senegal winger made a strong impression in Poland this season with Gornik Zabrze, bagging nine goals and three assists. The Blues were never going to get close to the agreed fee with Danish side Brondby, believed to be somewhere between 2.5m-3m Euros, however, and they got their man last weekend. | BELGA MAG/AFP via Getty Images

4. Jahnoah Markelo
The FC Zurich man is another winger identified by Pompey’s recruitment department, as revealed by The News last week. Also one of the inverted wingers who are so popular at present, with the left-footer playing on the right. Was a no-show at his club’s winter training camp posting ‘news soon’ on his Instagram account. Tied down to a long-term contract until 2030, though, meaning Pompey would need to stump a sizable fee to see anything progress. | AFP via Getty Images
