From upgrading seating in the North Stand lower to reprofiling the South Stand, from giving the Milton End a much-needed facelift to installing an impressive new TV gantry at the Blues’ famous old home, no stone has been left unturned to guarantee Fratton Park is fit for purpose in the 21st century.
It has cost the Blues’ American owners, Tornante, more than £15m to date, with a new-look Victory Lounge and a refurbished mezzanine in the North Stand a couple more of the highlights that greeted fans on their return to P04 this season.

All Blues supporters are understandably enjoying new heights for the club - both on and off the pitch.
However, for some Sheffield United fans due to visit Fratton Park later this month, the Blues might have fallen short in one key aspect.
The Blades head to the south coast on September 28 - which will be their first visit to PO4 since April 2013. Chris Wilder’s side will be accompanied by 2,171 for the game, which is sure to make for another cracking atmosphere.

Indeed, according to the Sheffield United website, fans under 5ft 4in tall are recommended not to select a seat in row A of the Milton End stand that houses away fans.
Why, I hear you ask? Well, according to guidance provided by Pompey, anyone smaller than 5’4’ will not be able to see the pitch from that particular row!
Announcing ticket details for the game, the Blades website stated: ‘Portsmouth have advised that supporters under 5ft 4in will not be able to see the pitch if they are seated on Row A, if you are below this height, please select a row further back’.

For those not tall enough to get a full view of the pitch, they’ll have drawn the short straw if they end up in Row A in a couple of weeks time.
