Sold out - Portsmouth fans display incredible show of support as all 9,000 West Ham tickets snapped up
Pompey fans will be out in force when the Blues take on West Ham in the first round of the Carabao Cup on August 8.
A huge sea of blue will greet Pompey when they kick-off their 2026-27 season at West Ham next month.
That’s because passionate Blues fans have already sold out their entire ticket allocation for the Carabao Cup first-round fixture at the London Stadium - which was a staggering 9,000!
Tickets only went on sale on Tuesday at 10am. But come Thursday evening, all were incredibly snapped up, with members of the Fratton faithful making the most of the extraordinary prices attached to the generous allocation provided by the Hammers.
Indeed, the highest price stood at £10 (adult ticket), with an under-18 ticket priced at just £1.
For 9,000 Pompey fans, it was simply something they couldn’t turn down as they look forward to the start of the 2026-27 season.

First trip to West Ham in 15 years
The game will be the first meeting between the two sides in the capital since September 2011. It will also be Pompey’s maiden trip to the venue that hosted the Olympic Games in 2012, with West Ham leaving Upton Park and moving to their new home in 2016.
The Stratford ground has a capacity of 62,500 on match days - and it appears that figure allowed the Hammers to be ultra-generous with the number of away tickets they’ve allocated the Blues for the fixture.
Blues supporters will be designated the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand for the game. Their match-day presence will the biggest Pompey invasion of London since the 2019 Checkatrade Trophy final against Sunderland at Wembley, when more than 40,000 members of the Fratton faithful descended on the capital.
The figure will also surpass the 8,800 Pompey fans who attended the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Pompey’s January 2023 FA Cup defeat at the hands of Spurs.
