Uefa have confirmed they have lifted the ‘blocked hours’ protection in England and Scotland for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.
That means that there will be no 3pm blackout – which has in place since the 1950s to protect attendances – for Premier League and Football League games.

Hide AdAs a consequence, it paves the way for the season to be completed behind closed doors amid the coronavirus crisis suspending the campaign indefinitely.
But when it does eventually recommence, all nine of the Blues’ remaining League One fixtures could be broadcast on the club's iFollow channel.
Users abroad have previously only been allowed watch 3pm kick-offs, although Pompey fans can purchase match-day passes for midweek games.
In a statement, Uefa said: ‘Uefa has lifted the “blocked hours” protection granted to England and Scotland for the remainder of the 2019-20 season following requests from the relevant national associations as a result of measures taken in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.’
Pompey’s Leasing.com Trophy final against Salford, which was due to take place tomorrow, will be shown Sky Sports when it is rearranged.
