Rob Modra earns Paulsgrove Easter Open title

Rob Modra took top honours in the Paulsgrove Easter Open as he beat Paul Hogan 6-4 in the final.

Modra had beaten Gary Stafford 5-3 in the semi-finals and Stan Brimecome Snr 5-2 in the last eight.

Hogan’s route to the final saw him enjoy a 5-1 triumph over Paul McDowell in the quarter-finals before overcoming Ricky Williams 5-3 in the next round.

Andy Jenkins and Simon Whitlock lost in the last eight – the latter beaten 5-4 by Stafford.

Frank Branscombe and Pete Heather helped on the day and the event had great support from Rich Mullet and Paulsgrove Social Club.
